Kelly Lake

Kelly Lake joined Rubin & Associates in 2023, bringing 25 years of Independent School fundraising and communications experience. She has extensive expertise in all facets of development, including annual fund campaigns, special events, major and principal gift strategies, stewardship, and comprehensive campaigns. Kelly is also skilled in training and advising nonprofit leaders, Boards, and volunteers on fundraising best practices.

The majority of Kelly’s career was spent at Whitfield School in St. Louis, where she held various advancement roles, culminating as the Director of Development. During her tenure, Kelly was recognized for her ability to build strong constituent relationships and for her proven track record in securing major gifts. Her relationship-building skills with parents, alumni, trustees, and foundations resulted in a $30 million increase in giving over a 15-year period, including securing the largest single gift in the school’s history.

Kelly currently serves as Director of Development for New Sector Alliance, a nonprofit leadership development organization based in Chicago. Kelly leads the organization’s fundraising strategy to support NSA’s mission to build a better future by empowering mission-driven organizations, cultivating transformative leaders, and fostering a sustainable ecosystem for long-term impact.

Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Saint Louis University.
