The Need

St. Louis Public Radio/KWMU has served the St. Louis region for 40 years, the voice of a trusted friend. A cultural gem, the station planned a new $12 million broadcast facility on the UMSL campus, having outgrown its presence in outmoded converted classroom space. The facility would allow the expansion of news coverage, enhance programming and increase community outreach.

How We Helped

As Campaign Manager, Rubin worked with professional staff and the Campaign Cabinet on:

  • collateral materials in print and video
  • lead gift preparation and solicitation, donor recognition programs
  • cultivation events through the $7 million mark of the campaign

The Outcome

St. Louis Public Radio now has a new three-story building with more studios, more space for additional staff and space for live broadcasts and community forums.
